Our Return & Refund Policy

The Mum Shop must be notified within 48 hours of receiving the goods. The goods must be delivered at the buyer’s expense to the seller’s warehouse in original condition and packaging. Where goods are returned in damaged or substandard condition to the seller, additional fees may be charged. Freight charges are not included in any refund.

The Mum Shop has a strict no returns, exchanges or refunds policy across the website, due to change of mind.


  • In case you change your mind You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placing your order by emailing at wecare@themumshop.in
  • Any cancelled Order may incur a 10% or INR 100 (whichever is higher) cancellation fee, being compensation to us for costs incurred due to such cancellation and/or compensation for our likely loss of profit. In the event that you cancel part of an Order, such part-cancellation may incur a 10% cancellation fee or INR 100 (whichever is higher), on a pro-rata basis to the part-cancelled Order. .

Note: no cancellation or refunds can be accepted, if the cancellation request is sent after 24 hours of placing your order.

After the cancellation is approved your request for cancellation will be processed in 2 business days, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Return of Goods

Goods supplied in accordance with an order can only be returned with the express approval of the seller. If you wish to return faulty goods you need to notify "The Mum Shop" first by phone, or email within 48 hours of receiving the goods. Where goods are accepted (either for replacement, repair or refund at the discretion of the seller) they must be delivered at the buyer’s expense to the seller’s warehouse in original condition and packaging. Where goods are returned in damaged or substandard condition to the seller, additional fees may be charged. Returns for orders paid by credit card will be credited electronically back to the applicable credit card account. Returns for orders paid by direct credit will be credited electronically back to the applicable bank account. 

Refunds back to Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Net Banking or Bank Accounts (NEFT) are refunded within 10-15 days after we receive and process your return.


Our policy lasts 10 days. It is mandatory to notify us if you want to return or exchange your item at the earliest within 48 hours of receiving the product and return the item within 10 days. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging with the original tags.

 To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

 There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)

  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
  • Any item that is returned more than 10 days after delivery

Return will be processed only if:

  • It is determined that the product was not damaged while in your possession;
  • the product is not different from what was shipped to you;
  • the product is returned in original condition (with brand’s/manufacturer's box, MRP tag intact, user manual, warranty card and all the accessories therein).

Note: If you've received a non-returnable product in a damaged/defective condition, you should notify us within 48 hours from the delivery of the product.

Return Exceptions

Some items cannot be returned if the packaging has been opened, these include:

  • Merchandise that has been worn, used, or altered in any way will not be accepted for return or exchange.
  • All intimate wear.
  • Food Items.
  • Custom made products.
  • Sale or Clearance items cannot be returned for exchange or refund. 

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If your request is approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be exchanged or refunded, unless mentioned. 

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at wecare@themumshop.in and send your item to the seller.


Seller Fulfilled Items

The Mum Shop replacement guarantee stands applicable during the specified period, depending on the seller’s return policy and the product category. It is important to first check the Replacement Guarantee period on the product page and then ask for a ‘Return’.

Return policies that are exclusively Seller Fulfilled are listed below. For all other categories, the return policies mentioned above apply.



For Personalised Products

Due to the personalized nature of products, your order may take a couple of weeks to reach you but rest assured we are making all possible efforts to fulfil your order at the earliest we can.

Cancellations: Due to the personalized nature of majority of the products, orders once placed cannot be cancelled or changed. If you do wish to cancel/amend your order please email us on wecare@themumshop.in and we will try our best to cancel it if production hasn’t started.

In the case of a credit card refund due to order cancellation, please allow 10-15 working days for the refund to be processed and reflect in your bank account. When a refund is initiated from our end, we will provide you with a transaction id, after which you can follow up with your bank if you would like to have the refund expedited.


E-mail verification Process

We always strive hard to provide the best experience to our customers. However, we have noticed that few accounts abuse our liberal policies. Therefore, please ensure that the details you provide us are correct and complete and inform us immediately of any changes to the information that you provided while registering. "The Mum Shop" verifies the email addresses to ensure important communication about orders and shipments are reaching our customers. Email addresses that have an invalid domain, no mail server, or no mail box, fail the verification processes set by The Mum Shop and The Mum Shop reserves the right to disable any form of delivery option for orders placed from such accounts that fail the email verification process.
