HELLO, ladies in the house, we are here to talk about a very crucial part of all mother’s life, the part where a woman turns herself into a life-giver, the first year after the new-born is out of her womb, i.e. the Breastfeeding period. Not just for the woman but for her baby too, it’s a totally new thing to explore. Both your baby and you start learning the trade of food consumption and production. The beauty and struggles of breastfeeding have been beautifully penned in these few lines

 Nursing a Toddler

Nursing a toddler is not always fun,

It seems that nothing else ever gets done,

Nursing an infant is peaceful and sweet,

But nursing a toddler with mud on his feet?

With peanut butter mouth and a handful of cheese,

He pushes you down and climbs on your knees,

He positions himself till he’s comfy and steady,

Then he tugs on your blouse so you know that he’s ready.

You look down and smile, and you give him a drink,

Knowing those dishes are piled in the sink,

Knowing the clutter is still on the floor,

Hoping that nobody comes to the door.

Oh heck, you lean down and you give him a kiss

What can you do more important than this?                                                                                                                                    – UNKNOWN

Being a mother is never an easy job to do but it need not be a very tiring thing to do. Working mothers are usually seen to be very tired while balancing her baby and work which at last make her quit her ambitions for a while. Use of a breast pump is a very innovative and comforting step towards embracing the gift of motherhood.

Many new moms are unaware of the breast pump because of which their breastfeeding task is tough to do than others who use the breast pump while doing other jobs ensuring that their baby gets the right nutrition. There are many more uses of the breast pump, check the link for more details: https://www.philips.co.in/c-m-mo/breastpump

Breastfeeding is very important as it lowers your baby’s risk of having allergies since the mother’s milk contains antibodies needed to fight off the viruses and bacteria. In order to support the culture of breastfeeding, World Breastfeeding Week is also celebrated all over the world every year. Celebrities from all over the world are taking part all over the media in order to create awareness regarding breastfeeding being a gift, not a liability. Few names are Padma Lakshmi, Liv Tyler, Alyssa Milano, Thandie Newton, Mila Kunis, Chrissy Teigen, Adele, and many more.

New mothers are strong enough to take care of themselves along with their baby, what they wish for is a little support from the people surrounding her, at times. The best thing we can do is to talk to her while she needs it. Also, if you are a new mom, remember to talk about your problems to someone, remember that conversation is always the key to a healthy mind. Mental health is more important than any other thing in an individual’s life. The baby’s life is directly dependent on yours that is why it is important that you take care of your health.

Embrace the gift of motherhood in every possible way. Eat right and sleep right. Enjoy your life along with the little cupcake you have in your arms, in every possible way. Also, don’t forget to share the information with every new mom in the town, and also to those, expecting a baby soon.

ALSO, BREASTFEEDING SHOULD BE CELEBRATED EVERYDAY, so cheers to all the mums for bringing up your little sun-shines with the right nutrition you can provide. Please leave your valuable comments, share and subscribe to our newsletters for regular updates.
